On 15 October 2025, delegates from the Malaysian Plastics Manufacturers Association (MPMA) Johor attended the Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC (ITAP) event — marking another year of participation by MPMA Johor members in this leading regional industry platform.

Since its inaugural edition in 2018, ITAP has grown into the premier platform connecting global manufacturers, technology providers, and solution partners with new markets and opportunities across the Asia-Pacific region.

This year, ITAP 2025, a HANNOVER MESSE event, returned to the Singapore EXPO from 15 to 17 October 2025. New exhibitors such as TATA Consultancy Services and EPLAN Software (Digital Manufacturing), Agile Robots and Voltrium Systems Pte Ltd (Robotics & Factory Automation), and pro-beam GmbH & Co. KGA (Additive Manufacturing) brought fresh perspectives and technologies to the show floor.

Supporting Every Stage of Industrial Transformation

Against a backdrop of global trade uncertainty and fragmented supply chains, manufacturers across Asia-Pacific are accelerating their transformation journeys. According to ITAP Intelligence 2025: Trends, Technologies & Transformation Across APAC — an IDC study commissioned by ITAP — 51% of manufacturers in the region remain in early planning or piloting stages for AI, automation, and digitalisation initiatives, while 49% are actively deploying and optimising solutions.

To address this wide spectrum of readiness, ITAP 2025 introduced a structured Explorer–Adopter–Trailblazer framework, offering tailored support for each stage of digital transformation:

  • Explorers gain practical insights, pilot case studies, and foundational tools.

  • Adopters access integration roadmaps and technology showcases to scale implementation.

  • Trailblazers explore next-generation solutions and leadership content to maintain competitive advantage.

With the regional smart manufacturing market projected to reach USD 754.1 billion by 2030 (CAGR 15.7%, Fortune Business Insights), and digital transformation advancing at over 31% annually (Grand View Research), ITAP 2025 reinforces its mission to bridge the gap between innovation and implementation.

From Showcase to Actionable Impact

ITAP 2025 also featured industry-focused zones highlighting real-world applications across aerospace, automotive, semiconductors, precision engineering, and logistics, including:

  • Additive Manufacturing Learning Journey (co-presented by NAMIC)

  • Electromobility Pavilion (Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce)

  • Future of Robotics (DEXPO)

  • Gateway to Industrial AI (Microsoft)

  • Future Talent Pavilion

  • Industry 5.0 Pavilion (River Venture Studio)

  • Smart Factory in Action
